I adore Charlotte but without a nickname - it is only two syllables after all and so doesn't need to have a nickname...I kinda like Lott though. I detest Charley - the spelling, the masculinity...Charlie is a boys name only for me.
Isabella - I much prefer Bella. It is elegant, sophisticated and kinda quirky. However, I like Izzy as a nn for Israel (m).
Matilda - I prefer Tilly but like Matilda by itself as well. It is my favourite name.
Beatrix - Trixie is very cool and quirky. I adore it but Bea is also pretty spunky.
Eleanor - Nora is very elegant. Lovely.
Emmeline - Emma cheapens the elegance and quality of Emmeline for me. Emmy is very cool as an occasional nn though.
