No, my great-grandmother was not French, she was Irish. 100% Marylander. Born, bred and raised. I wonder if she ever left the state once. She was a crusader though. Near the turn of the twentieth century she organized the first post office in Burtonsville, MD, which I have been told by my grandmother was extremely brazen behavior for a Burtonsville lady back then. It makes me very proud. Love boldness.
