[Opinions] Your favourite Russian names

I need some Russian names for a book I am writing. So what are your favourite Russian names?And what do you think of these combos - Anoushka Stanislava 'Anna', Barbara Praskoviya, Dimitri Aleksandr and Vitya Nikolaevich? Nikolaevich is pronounced nee-kuh-LIE-uh-veech.

I like Dimitri Aleksandr and Vitya Nikolaevich a lot. It would be cool if Dimitri was Dima for short.My favorite Russian names are:Dima/Dimitri

I love Sveta, Anya, Katya, Katarina, Innessa, and Stanislava for girls and Yuri, Nikolai, Viktor and Kiril for boys. Your combos are very nice imo. :)

Love Irina and Larisa. Never been especially fond of any of the male ones, except MAYBE Evgeny and Vassily.

I don't think Russians have middle names - only the patronymic thingy.
I like Dimitri and Marina.

Does this take place in Russia or America? The only Russian looking name is Vitya (Viktor) Nikolaevich because that is how naming goes in there.

I'm not good at Russian names as this proves. Well, the people are Russian but the book takes place mainly in England. It's set around the time of the Russian Civil War. Thanks loads. I'll try to get it right.

There's some info that you can get to from the BtN homepage about names from different countries. Basically, you just add -ovich (evich) to the father's first name for the sons and -ovna (evna) for the daughters. There are a few names with slightly different patronymics. Iliych and Iliyshina for the children of Ilya is the only exception I can think of at the moment. If you look up the names of famous Russians/ Soviets you can get some more examples.
