I have to admit, that Theodosia is growing on me. I still love Theodora beyond measure, but I have becoming more of a hippy lately (i.e. I've been wearing a lot of hand-made local clothes, camping), and Theodosia is more consistent with these recent inclinations. It reminds me of wild flowers for some reason. Felix Mendelssohn had an Aunt Theodosia.

Do you like Theodora or Theodosia more?

Theodosia's lovely! I prefer her to Theodora, though I also admire the latter.

I think for practical use I prefer Theodora, as it seems cleaner and more straightforward to me. Theodosia is about equally as appealing, just a bit over-the-top (but not overly so) by comparison.

Overall I like them about same, which is to say quite a lot, and I appreciate the rich history of both.

I like Theodosia. I'm pretty sure it's a family name.
As much as I like Theodora, I'd have to say I like Theodosia more. I don't know why though.

I like both, but actually prefer Theodosia, It's just so cool. I can kind of see the elements Teddy and Ursa, both meaning bear. So I just look at this name and see a big, adorable teddy bear lol. But it just sounds beautiful. The only reason I would use it is because I couldn't really see myself personally using any of the nicknames. Though there are a lot of nice ones, like Thea, Tia, Dosy, Dot, Dotty, Teddy, Theda, Terry, Tedda, Tess, Tessa. There are some good options in there.

Definitely Theodora. Theodosia isn't bad but I don't really like the 'dos' part. Something about the sound bothers me.
