I know how Gaius is pronounced but I think you are kidding yourself if you think the kid isn't going to get teased for it (which sucks, but that's life). People will mispronounce it as gay-us and little kids will see the 'gai' and say 'gay'. Caius is much nicer and also avoids the obvious teasing potential.- and this is coming from someone who will usually argue that it is only in very rare circumstances that a kid will get teased for their name and will usually advocate overlooking most potential teasing issues. I went to school with a Gaia. She got teased quite a bit in early high school. Everyone outgrew the teasing but it did happen and she still dislikes her name because of it. Gabriel on the other hand, while having the actual work 'gay' in the pronunciation never got teased.
