[Opinions] Callie is a nickname for . . .
I'm just curious. What name would you give a girl and use the nickname Callie?
Replies
Calista.
Calvina or Callirhoe, or maybe Mircalla. (Not that I would use any of those names, just trying to add some new ones!)
Calanthe :)

Caledonia!
This too!.
Calogera or Cassandra
...partially because I think Callie is too flimsy and young-girly for me, so I need to balance it out with a heavier 'full' name. Calogera fits the bill almost too well in that respect. :-P
That or perhaps Cassandra. I love Sandrine, Sandy, and Sandra, though, so Callie would be very far down the list of nicknames I would actually use in this case. But I could see Callie working, sort of in the same way that I can understand Mary "Molly" or Sarah "Sally" or Harriet "Hallie."

It's kind of unusual, but the Portuguese pronunciation (Cah-LISH-tah) is pretty.
