Griffith & Amarantha
Calista, Rupert, Sorley, Bryony & Mimosa, Tarquin, and Ophelia
Griffith met Amarantha when she was just 20 years old - but she let him believe that she was a couple years older until after he proposed! Griffith is pretty much wrapped around Amarantha's little finger, and lets her have her way with everything - including what to name the children. Amarantha was a middle child in a very large family (6 older siblings and 7 younger), and knew that she wanted to have a bunch of children herself (Griffith, an only child, would probablly have been happy with just one or two).
Calista is the typically big sis - she mother's all of the younger ones (which drives Rupert nuts when she tries to do this to him!), and also tries to boss them around. She's very mature, and loves to read novels and write short stories.
Rupert is immature, especially when compared to his older sister (he dislikes being compared to Calista however, and tries to be as opposite as he can). He secretly enjoys to read a good book, but loves to be out running and playing even more.
Sorley is the middle ground between Calista and Rupert. He often provides a balance between his two older siblings. Like his sister, he is very mature and loves to read. However, he also loves to learn and spends as much time with non-fiction as he does with fiction. Rupert makes sure that he gets out-of-doors, and Sorley makes sure that Rupert learns something new every day.
Bryony and Mimosa are fraternal twins. Bryony has long, black, wavy hair and sparkling black eyes full of mischief. Mimosa has long, pale-blond, strait hair and soft gray eyes filled with tenderness. Bryony tries to shadow Rupert, while Mimosa loves to spend time with Sorley. However, both sisters are very connected, and can communicate without saying a word (or even being in the same room!).
Tarquin is a child in a hurry. He started talking in complete sentences at 13 months, and has been sure that he can keep up with his older siblings since. Tarquin hangs around Calista because she loves to give him attention and play school teacher.
Ophelia was just born last week, and seems a very quiet sort of child. Her large eyes watch everything around her. She gets especially happy whenever she spies her father.
Amarantha is happy with the size of her family... however, if Griffith weren't opposed to it, she might have another half-dozen or so!
