[Opinions] Holly
What's your opinion of Holly? I've been thinking a lot about it lately, and really liking it. Do you think it's too dated? What sort of bearer would you imagine? Also, I'd welcome any sibling suggestions. I'd kind of like to pair it with more plant and/or nature names, but I don't want it to sound too contrived...

It's not on my list but I quite like it. I knew a sibset that was Holly as the older girl and twins named Hannah and Erin. It's all I think of.

I wouldn't say Holly is dated, but for some reason I always associate it with a whiny bratty girl... possibly because this is the only time I have ever seen it.

I adore Holly, it just sounds sweet and happy to me. My favorite names are actually the 70's/80's/90's names. I would definitely use it. What about Holly and Violet?

I really like Holly, its a shame I have a cousin with this name otherwise I'd consider using it myself (though not sure if it'd be too close with Hayley, I actually had Holly on the list when I was pregnant with Hayley but went against it because of my cousin, though I hardly see her).Holly and Skye

It's cute, but also an invasive, prickly plant.

Holly is a nice name. It's simple and pretty and light.I don't think it's very dated at all, but then again I know no one with the name Holly. When I think of Holly I think of Rose Nylund's sister on the Golden Girls. The names in that family that I know of were Rose, Holly, and Lily. I suppose that's too contrived, but I do think they're really great together.Holly and Erica

Holly is just the sweetest name ever. I imagine a well mannered brunette for some reason. I don't think it's dated at all, but I've never met one before so what do I know?I'd say Holly and Veronica, or Holly and Rue, or Holly and Viola.
