Help[Opinions] Topanga
I know a couple that named their daughter Topanga. I loved the show Boy Meets World, but is this a little cruel? The name isn't HORRIBLE but a little over the top. What do you think?

Definitely a little Boy Meets World-ish, but not terribly bad. And, for the record, there IS a town in California called Topanga. It's in Los Angeles county, I believe. There's also a Topanga Canyon right by the beach. Maybe that's where the other poster's dad is referring to surfing? :)
So, I guess it falls in the place name category, too.

I kinda like the sound of it (maybe 'cause I've seen every episode of Boy Meets World! lol) but I don't like the spelling at all!

I found the meaning of the name on a website, http://www.babynamesworld.com/meaning_of_Topanga.html

But depending on when said child is born, it might not be an issue.
Anyways, I think the name is kind of weird, but it isn't too bad, aesthetically. It's not in the database, but I'm wondering if it does have any history whatsoever, or if the creators of BMW just threw some random syllables together.
(I seem to recall my father mentioning a surf spot from his youth called Topanga, but my dad has a notoriously botched memory, so I'd take that with a grain of salt.)
