WDYT? Aphra Behn was an English writer in the 1600s. I like the way it looks, but I don't know if I like the sound.:)

Yeah. I love that name, and the namesake is fantastic. I agree - it looks gorgeous, but will sound like "afro" to those who've never heard of Behn.. I guess that's not a huge issue. But it is noticeable, and probably certain people would assume it's made up. I like the "Biblickal place name Aphrah" meaning.. makes it so the bearer doesn't "need" any African heritage :-)Hey... you know, Behn isn't too far from my own last name. :pictures daughter named Aphra: DH would never go for it in a million years. :-(- chazda
