I love the name Molly! I think it is really, cute, and I honestly don't see how it is a nickname, but oh well, I still think it is really cute! :)

Molly used to be a nickname for MaryIf you want you could still use Molly for Mary but I think it's taken enough ground to stand as a name on it's own. Personally it's not really my style, to me it always seemed more of a name for a doll but I've met a few Mollys, they were nice people.

Also a nickname for Margaret (In Dublin anyhow)

I always think of it as vaguely Irish because of the song 'Molly Malone', so it sounds like it would fit with her sisters' names. Nms, but I don't dislike it and think it's been used long enough on its own to be okay as a full name.

I really dislike it. I have had bad associations with it and it sounds like a dog name to me.

It's too cutesy, and won't age well.

I like Molly. Do you like Mary at all? That seems to go with your daughters, and Molly is a nice nickname.

I've always loved it. I find it very energetic and upbeat. It's one of the few nicknames I don't mind as a full name, although I would probably prefer to use it as a nickname. I know it's a nn for Mary, but I've considered using it as a nn for Margaret, which is what we plan to name our first daughter. I have a second cousin named Molly though, so that's always kept it down a little bit on my list.

I used to like it, but have gone off it. It seems childish, and more suitable for a pet than a person.
