I met somebody by this name today. What do you think of it? Have you ever met a Herminigilda? I can't see it at all on a baby born today, but it's gone on to my growing list of GPs. :)

Wow, this name is quite a mouthful. And very Germanic. How old was this girl/woman?
I myself have never met a Herminingilda, just Hermine and Hermina (those two are rising in popularity in my country thanks to the translation of Harry Potter), Gilda and Gildhart.

She was about forty, or late thirties? I didn't comment on the name as it wasn't appropriate in work context.

It's kind of awesome, but very long. Maybe it's Spanish or Portuguese and a female form of Hermenegildo?

It sounds like it's from Norse or Germanic mythology to me.

It's cool in a GP sort of way, but I can't picture it on a real person. I think it would be a hassle of a name, unless she went by Gilda.
