Oliver and Dakota met at school. Kody's friends, all in happy relationships, were trying to pair her up with someone they think she would like. Dakota, at the time, was in tenth grade. Her friends picked out one eleventh grader and one ninth grader for her to see who she thought she would like better. Oliver Cooper was that eleventh grader. He wasn't the best looking guy in the world, but Kody never was one for looks. There was something mysterious about him, and Kody wanted to get to know him. Over the transition summer, Kody and Oliver talked. Just a little, not too much. But enough to get Kody interested in talking to him more.
In the new school year, Kody's friend, Camryn, got Oliver's phone number from a classmate of Oliver's. Through text messaging they started to talk and become friends. Within days Kody knew she needed to become one of his closest friends. She wasn't sure how he would take to her; not many guys seemed to like her. But Oliver was different, He actually wanted to spend time with her! They talked throughout the month of October, and friendly feelings turned into something more. October 31st, Halloween, was the first day they kissed. November 1st they decided would be the day they celebrated their relationship and love, something that neither was looking for but both ended up finding in each other.
During their relationship they had plenty of ups and downs like plenty of relationships do. There was a time when they thought they were going to break up, but neither of them could stand to be without the other. During the second year of their relationship, Kody went onto college while working part time, and Oliver got a carpentry appeniceship, which Kody was happy for because that meant that Oliver wasn't going to go into the ploice academy like he wanted to. Well, at least she hoped he would stick with the carpentry. It was difficult that year, to try and keep a healthy relationship while she was in college and he working all the time, but they managed.
Oliver proposed one November first, three years into their relationship. He proposed at a Flyers hockey game, the team that they both enjoyed so much. Kody, of course, said yes and couldn't be happier. She was in her third year of college, and they had a wedding planned for the summer she turned twenty-three. They were going to get married in August, the month of which they were both the same number age. In the year and a half before the wedding, though, Kody and Oliver moved in together in a rather large apartment, which was more like an art studio than anything else. They both loved it though, and took to it right away. They were finally happy to be living out their biggest dream: waking up in the arms of each other.
Their wedding was picture perfect. Her wedding dress was exactly what she imagined for an August wedding, and her three bridemaids were perfection in the cocktail style dresses that Kody had picked out. The dark purple suited all three girls perfectly. The wedding was an outdoor ceremony, which was perfect for the blissfully beautiful late summer day. The reception was in a grand hall and Kody's Maid of Honour, her cousin Lacey, gave the best speech of the who night. "Kody, I love you, and best of this love my speech is over, let's eat!" Needless to say, everyong agreed whore-heartedly. For their honeymoon Oliver and Kody decided to do something fun and adventurous, and ended up traveling Italy in 10 days time, stopping in the fabulos cities of Roma, Milano and Firenze, along with many others along the way.
When they got home there was some last minute packing they had to do. Kody and Oliver thought that getting out of the city would be a good idea, and they moved to Addison Hills. Kody did not know about the child limit, and needless to say to the wife who wanted five children, she was very angry and upset. Oliver said he had no idea, but it was up to Kody to figure out if he was just saying he didn't know so she wouldn't possibly hurt him in his sleep. Oliver knew from the very beginning of their relationship that she had wanted five children, but that doesn't mean that he would want five children also. Needless to say the newly-weds relationship is currently experiencing a very bumpy ride called the first year of marriage, and Addison Hills.
