[Opinions] Edward
This is a bit random for me, seeing as I've been relatively set on a handful or two of names for awhile now but I'd like to hear your thoughts on Edward. The only one with the name that I'm acquainted with is a friend of mine from grade school. He goes by Ed. I remember liking the name when I first met him but recently, within the last few months or so, have begun to fully appreciate it. Now, I'm liking it more and more everyday. So, my question is, what are your thoughts on the name? Which nick names, if any, do you like for the name? Any suggestions for combos?Any feedback is kindly appreciated.

I like Edward, but I've never been a big fan of Edward because the only Ed I've known was rather annoying. Although I used to hate it, I became fond of Ned as a nickname after watching the show Pushing Daisies.

Love it!

I hope it does. It's one of my favorite boy names. Unfortunately, I'm not as thrilled about its nns. I like Eddie and Ned well enough, I suppose, but not as much as Edward itself.

I like it. I think it will get more popular though because of Twilight. A friends brother is also named this and he goes by Eddie (prefer Eddie over Ed)

As someone who's never even read one of the books, I was afraid of that but I think it has enough history to be associated with other individuals. The popularity doesn't worry me as much, though.

I like it as Edward, but not as the nn Ed. That reminds me of fat, bald men. I think Edward sounds regal, and almost trendy with the old fashioned boys names being used these days such as Henry and Harry.

Ed was just the most common one I threw out there. I'm thinking more along the lines of Ted, Teddy, or Ned.

I like Ted or Teddy but not Ned.

I love Edward. It suits both the young and the old and Ed is a great nickname.

It's nice, elegant and sophisticated. Eddie and Ted are nice nns, don't like Ed so much.

I like Edward though I think it's a bit boring and I quite like Ed as an occasional nickname. I'm not too fond of Eddie.
If I remember correctly you want to use Jordan as a middle name and I think Edward August Jordan would be lovely.
