Avy told Raff that it was really time to tell her mother and Jack about the pregnancy, because she was sick of hiding it. Raff then confessed he had already told Jack, because "it came up in a conversation". Avy was a bit annoyed at that, but decided it was for the better, because now they'd only have to tell her mom.
At Fabian's birthday Avy and Raff gave Fabian a present, which Vivian helped him unpack. It was a t-shirt that said "I'm a big brother". Vivian looked at it for a few seconds, before she realized what it meant. She was absolutely delighted to find out there would be an addition to the family. Jack feigned surprise as well, because Raff had asked him to not let Vivian know he knew before she did. Vivian cannot believe she didn't notice Avy's giant belly before, now that she paid attention...
Fabian was pretty oblivious to what was going on and decided that his cake was more interesting than those squealing adults. He was covered in is from head to foot, before Avy realized that anything was amiss. Jack insisted on making a bunch of pictures of him, before they washed him.
Jack has gotten his high school diploma thanks to Avy. Avy would have loved to see him try for college, but Jack wasn't really interested. He got a job instead. At his work he met a girl that he likes a lot and he asked her out. They went to the movies and apparently she slept over, because the two of them showed up for breakfast the next morning. Vivian immediately interrogated the girl, but the girl didn't seem to mind it.
A week after that Nio (Raff and Jack's half-brother) called to say that he would be getting married the week after and would liked for them to be there. Raff and Jack were pretty surprised at this, since they hadn't heard from Nio for a couple of years.
The whole family, including Vivian and Jack's girl went to Nio's wedding. It took place in Mexico in the town where Nio's mother was from. Nio's fiancee's father was from the same town, so Nio and his girl thought it would be appropriate to marry there. It was a great wedding and the whole town participated in the celebrations. Raff and Jack were delighted to see that Ty, Sandra and Izzy (their other half-siblings) were also there. And they in their turn were delighted to see Raff and Jack and especially Fabian, who was pretty much the center of attention. Even during the church ceremony Fabian was grabbing everyone's attention. He wouldn't sit still and when Raff tried to make him sit, he shouted "No!" very loudly, right at the point when Nio was supposed to say "I do".
