I was WILD about
Tirzah. I always pronounced it "TEER-zah". I loved the Z in there. I don't know anyone with the name, which is too bad.
I'm not sure how "traditional" of a name it is considered among Jews. I have heard that any name in the Bible (or Old Testament I suppose, rather) is considered to be rather conservative and more popular with Orthodox Jews in
Israel. Nevertheless, I found it exotic, graceful and gorgeous, and wished I was Jewish so I could use it! :)
