I don't like it at all. It sounds like the kind of name a children's book author might coin for a really nerdy character. Even plain old Willford sounds hickish, or like a horse's name.

It sounds too much like Winifred to me. Wilford, maybe? It's a village in Nottinghamshire on the river Trent.

After some thoughtI think I quite like the solemn propriety of this name, if I might make one small change by removing the second i, making it Willford. I do think that the name has a bit of haughtiness to it though, which needs to be tempered by the right middle name. Maybe something a little more informal and approachable, like Willford Jack or Willford Ben? I would need to think on that middle name for a while.
