I quite like it. I think it's fine on its own, but Almira, Miranda and Miriam would all work, and maybe Marina.

I love Mira, and I think it can stand on its own. Not every name needs a "full" version.Besides Mirabella (which I also loathe), you could use Mira as a NN for Miranda.

LOVE Mira...which I pronounce MY-ruh. I do NOT like MEER-uh. I have a late Mira in my family, who was actually named Marian Elmira (her mother was also a Marian).
