- all the ones I've met (usually from Russia) pronounced in EH-leh-na. I much prefer ay-LAY-na, however.

Just notice that when I say LAY-na or AY-lay-na I mean the French é sound. A long e rather than a short eh sound. It doesn't really sound like an ay but that's the closest I can do.
