My current significant other has just suggested this name to me as one he finds "especially elegant." How do you feel about the combo Jacob Emmanuel?

I really like the combination. The uncommon Emmanuel definitely balances out the popular Jacob.

I love Emmanuel. It's in my top 3 for boys. As for the combo, I like the sound of Jacob Emmanuel but I much prefer Emmanuel as a first name.

It seems to me to be overly religious and makes me think of Christmas carols. Not that Christmas carols are a bad thing. I think it's good as a middle name, but I wouldn't use it as a first name.

Jacob Emmanuel is a fine combo, but I prefer the spelling Emanuel.
