Hi my name is also terissa and you pronounce it just the way you write it. My parents made my name out of two names: Theresa and Alice. My grandmother and grand grandmother. My mom is from Los Angeles and my dad from the netherlands. that's were I live right now. We moved to holland when I was only two years old. I've never met any one with my name. Love to chat with you some more. I'm 28 years old.
Bye bye

Your name of Terissa has created a practical, responsible, stable nature, and you desire to direct the efforts of others rather than to take order or ask permission. You have a determined, self-reliant, capable nature and resent any interference, although in your desire to help you are inclined to become involved in the lives and decisions of other people. You like to make your own decisions and to be the master of your domain. You feel a limitation in your own expression when it is necessary to reach another through tact and understanding.

Hi,I'm gonna hazard that what we have here is yet another spelling/pronunciation variant of "Theresa ", which occurs in a lot of languages in one form or another. For some educated guesses as to the meaning and origins, check out Theresa on this board's name list.- Da.
