In ten years, do you think the name Isabel will still sound too popular or even be in the top 500? When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter as to whether I use it on my future child but if it were too popular I would use it as a middle name. What do you think of these combos? (and no, I don't want to use Isabella or Isobel)

Love Alice Isabel & Ruby Isabel
Isabel Antonia is also really nice.
Isobel is one of my favourite mns, it just seems to go with everything without being fillerish.

Isabel Josephine - nice but too many z sounds
Isabel Antonia - nicer!
Isabel Caroline - excellent
Isabel Heloise - -el + el- is stuttery
Isabel Jane - very good
Isabel Kate - prefer the full form: Katharine etc
Isabel Lenora - -el + el- again
Isabel Louisa - sounds run together
Isabel Margot - OK
Isabel Rosamund - very medieval! Lovely
Isabel Therese - too different

Alice Isabel - another medieval beauty
Augusta Isabel - not a fan of Augusta. Isabel deserves better.
Dinah Isabel - refreshing and delightful
Eleanor Isabel - oh yes!
Lucy Isabel - one of the very best
Mary Isabel - in principle I'm cheering for Mary; in practice they run together uncomfortably (though it doesn't bother me with Lucy. Go figure.)
Ruby Isabel - to me Ruby is just plain trashy; plus, those blended sounds again

Well I personally LOVE Isabel. It is popular but it hasn't ruined the name for me. I dislike both Isabella and Isobel (really dislike this spelling). Isabelle is sweet.

From your combos I like/love Isabel Caroline, Eleanor Isabel and Ruby Isabel.

Not really sure about the popularity thing. I'm guessing it will be popular for a while. :)

Isabel is a sweet name, but the fact that it is so popular does put me off as well. Isabella is also waayy popular.

Out of all of your combo's I would have to say Lucy Isabel sounds the best. :)

I think it will probably remain in the top 500, maybe even 100. It is a classic. I love it personally.

I like Isabel. I can't say whether or not it will be popular-names can either rise or fall at rapid speed-but even it is, it's still a beautiful name. If you love it, use it.
