I have a friend named Kerstin (I live in Sweden) and I had a couple of teachers named that too. Never seen Kjerstin though.
I prn Kerstin like KER-stin but with a soft K, so it's actually more like "Cher-stinn" or "Chair-stinn".
I would probably prn Kjerstin the same.
