I saw a child in a magazine once, Pearl Annemarie. It seemed so perfect that it has stuck with me.
There are so many Anns / Ann Maries in my family, as well as my dh's that it would be difficult not to use one of the two. My favorite name for a girl is Niamh and I've tossed Niamh Annmarie around in my head from time to time. (I prefer the look of Annemarie, but all the Anns in my family spell it without an "e.")
I've never thought about it as a fn, but sure why not? I agree, it's ageless. Disclaimer: My name is Ann Marie. :-)
