[Opinions] Autumn
Well today we had beautiful autumn (fall ;)) weather. It was a bit colder but still nice and sunny with clear skies but the colorful leaves were already falling to the ground and it was so lovely that it immediately made me think of the name Autumn. I also really love the Au-sound so I fell in love with the name all over again (I liked it a long time ago).So what do you think of Autumn? I kind of fear that in summer it won't sound quite as nice to me or in any other season for that matter. Well I don't really think it would happen but I think it could. I love Noelle and Holly all year around but I know two girls named Holly and their parents named them that in december and kind of regretted it later on because it didn't sound quite as great in summer. Do you know what I mean? As I said I'm kind of wondering because Autumn is kind of a new favorite. With Noelle and Holly I know that I'll love the sound in each and every season but how can I know if it'll be the same with Autumn. Kind of difficult. So do you know anyone named Autumn? Do you think it ages well? I'm also wondering whether you think it's getting too common. I have nothing against top 100 names but top 20 or maybe even top 40 names would be out of question as I don't want her to be the 3rd Autumn in her class. So do you think it'll rise? Weirdly enough I've never met one.

I LOVE Autumn (I love Holly too) any time of year (as a name I mean). I'd like to use it one day maybe.

I love Autumn. I think it's a beautiful name.I don't see why it would be silly to have the name during any other season; there are girls named June, May, April, etc. and their names don't sound silly at any other time of the year. Ditto Summer and Winter.I think it ages well, and I don't think it will become *too* popular. I can't see it breaking the top ten, because on the whole, people seem indifferent to it (well, at least the people I've met seem indifferent). I knew one girl in high school named Autumn, but I haven't met one since, and that includes little kids.

Lovely lovely name! Forgot all about it until just now. Not really sure how it would age. I can imagine it on someone up to the age of about thirty-five and then I'm not so sure. Don't think its that popular, at least not where i'm from. I've never met anyone called Autumn

I don't think Autumn is "trendy" enough to rise and I think it's because of the "um" sound at the end. Autumn is a peculiar word for the English language being that it isn't spelled the way it is pronounced (ought-um). I love the name, though and I believe that Summer will rise in popularity before Autumn ;)
