I just saw on Facebook that an acquaintance of mine named her daughter Sieglinde! As far as I know there is no German connection in the family. What do you think?

Pretty but very unusual!I would probably stumble over pronunciation a bit too... is it "SEEG-lind"? Or maybe "SIGH-glind?" It's probably neither of those, lol!Regardless, a very unexpected and pretty looking name. Ziggy would be my nickname of choice :)

I think it's pretty, too. But I do worry about the whole sieg/Wagner/nazi-associations that can arise.

Cool in theory, but I'll bet that's going to be a hard name to grow up with. I wonder if they're going to give her a nn.

I don't like it. Here in Germany this name is considered very dated.
