Maeva Caroline is a seven year old from France. She speaks French and some English. Maeva lost her parents when they died in a tragic fire, that also destroyed her home. Maeva had no other relatives. She enjoys reading stories as well as writing some of her own and illustrating them. Her favorite stories involve make-believe.
Francisco Alfredo and Rosario Elena are ten year old cousins from Spain. Both are bilingual, speaking Spanish as well as English. Francisco loves swimming and is almost always found at a pool. Rosario on the other hand loves horseback riding. She is often at the stables, caring for the horses. While she does not own a horse, she hopes to be able to own one with her new family. Both cousins lived with their grandmother, who recently died of cancer.

One year later . . .
Maeva has greatly improved in her English, and has in turn taught us some French. She still misses her parents, but she is usually a happy girl. She takes art classes at a local program. She really enjoys it. We like to write stories together, and then Maeva illustrates them. Then she reads the stories to Jonathan.
Francisco has joined the swim team at his school and has made several friends through it. He is one of the best in his age group. Once Rose is old enough, he wants to teach her how to swim. He is already teaching Maeva and his cousin!
Rosario now goes by Elena, since having a Rose and a Rosario in the same house is a little confusing! Jonathan and I decided to get her a horse. Elena named the horse Domino, after her new favorite game. I also broke down and got horse as well. When I have time, I take her to the barn and we ride together.
Rosie likes having older siblings. She misses them while they are at school, and cannot wait for them to get home. She will start preschool soon, and is very excited because she might see Maeva, Francisco, or Elena during the day.

Giovanna Allegra is a fifteen year old Italian girl. She is fluent in Italian as well as English. She was orphaned in a car accident that killed both of her parents and left her emotionally traumatized. After five years of therapy she has finally recovered. Giovanna is interested in photography. She has won several amateur contests before.
Simon Claude is a ten year old boy from England. He was abandoned by his mother at a very young age and has lived with foster families most of his life. Simon is particularly interested in computers and technology. He likes to play games as well as take things apart to see how they work.

Gianna is adapting very well to our family. At first, she was a bit disturbed to find that Jane had been involved in a car accident also, but is quickly forming an empathy bond with her due to their similar experiences. She has been learning more and more photography, and has begun to win even more contests. Gianna also gave an indication of wanting to become Papa Tony's assistant.
Simon is also integrating into the family very easily. He initially was suspicious that we are yet another foster family for his "collection", but it soon became apparent that we are his permanent family from now on. If Gianna and Jane has bonded together well, Simon has become closer and closer to me. He loves to see how all the magical apparatus works, and is now dreaming of inserting some high-tech computer effects for the next performances.

Jennifer Cameron "Jenny" is a 2 year old from California. She currently loves playing peek-a-boo and loves being read to. She is very talkative once you get to know her but can be very shy at first. It's been six months since we adopted Jenny (whose middle name is now Hye-jin), and we couldn't be a happier family. For the first few days she was very quiet and looked embarrassed, but she started warming up to us, and on her third night at her new house she actually asked Hwan-ji to read her a bedtime story (we had done it the two previous nights without her asking for it first). She and Iseul quickly became friends, and Izzie loves to mimic anything Jenny does. Right now their favourite game is hide-and-seek, and that means we have to search the entire house for them (we usually find them hiding inside a wardrobe or under the bed). Jenny can't do without her bedtime stories, and although she was excited to see Jung, she still isn't convinced that it won't eat Lulu (who, by the way, chirps and sings constantly). Jenny is also learning her first words in Korean, and we're hoping she'll be bilingual.

Jeanine Madeleine and Jeanette Margot are seventeen year old twins from France. Both girls are fluent in French as well as English and Italian. Jeanine is pregnant with a baby boy and is due in two months. Jeanette is a ballerina and takes classes five days a week. She hopes to become a professional dancer one day. Jeanine is less sure of her course of study but wants to work with animals, possibly as a veterinarian.

3 years later...
Carrie gave birth to healthy and beautiful twin girls not long after joining the family. She named them Alice Ruby and Imogen Grace. She has excellent grades in college and has decided to become a nurse practitioner with a minor in physical therapy. While she is at school Ismene's brother, Damien, watches over Alice and Imogen. In order to stay in shape, Carrie has picked up ice skating as a hobby again. She has also been a guest speaker at many local high schools talking to students about the rising number of teen pregnancies. The students are very receptive to Carrie and after meeting her twins they begin to realize how serious of a risk it is.
Charlotte spent the first several months with us in the hospital. She refused to eat and was dangerously thin. After five months she began to look healthier, and she was released from the hospital after a total of seven months. She is now doing well and maintains a healthy weight in addition to seeing a psychologist once a week. She managed to raise her GPA with the help of tutoring and a summer of sumemr school and is now in the top 15% of her senior class. She, with the help of Carrie, started her own local organization to bring attention to the seriousness of eating disorders. She has also been personally involved in the rehabilitation of numerous people in our city and neighboring cities. She has been going to night school twice a week at a nearby college and earning early college credits. She now has the grades to achieve her dreams.
Our entire family took to Carrie and Charlotte right away. Morgan and Thomas love having two older sisters. They always ask the girls to play soccer or basketball with them. Damien's daughter Magdalena looks up to Carrie and Charlotte and we're all glad because the two have blossomed into amazing role models. Damien loves having two teenage nieces to spoil and spend time with. Carrie has learned much about parenting from him and he encourages both the girls to follow through with their goals. Ismene and I feel that our family is now complete. We are very proud of all of our children.

Katrien Liese and Maikel Pauwel are five year old twins from the Netherlands. They speak minimal English but are fluent in their native Dutch. Katrien is already very outgoing, she makes friends easily. Even at 5, Katrien loves fashion and dressing up her dolls. She is also loves playing hide-and-seek with her brother. Maikel is athletic. Dear Agency,
It's been one whole year since we brought Katie and Cole home from Holland and 11 whole months Nika, Timmy, and Eli home from Russia. It's been a roller coaster ride. Upon arriving home Katie immediately bonded with our oldest daugther, Lily. Even though Lily already had a sister (Julie) she bonded better with Katie as the age difference was smaller. Cole and Morgan enjoy playing soccer, tag, hide-and-go seek, and racing in the fields (although Morgan has the upper hand as he knows the fields well). Little Julie felt left out (as we had an odd number of children). When Nika, Timmy, and Eli arrived she was happy because she would finally have a friend (Nika) unfortunately Nika was not as she expected, Nika was much more mature (due to her circumstances) and prefered tending to Eli and Timmy rather than playing with her. But eventually her shyness was lost and Nika soon became Katie's best friend. Julie was devastated but the three girls worked it out. Timmy and Julie became quite fond of each other. Being the only two children (other than Eli) not in school they made up all sorts up games. At the age of 18 month Eli, now, happily toddles after his older siblings. Recently my husband's youngest older brother went through a divorce. His kids Roee and Ofira (6 & 7) are currently staying with us aswell....
