What does everyone think of the name Ida? I am starting to really like it, but can't think of a good middle name for it. I think something short but very feminine would work well. Thanks!

I love Ida, especially pronounced EE-da. My sister's name is Ida Maria.

I dislike the I at the beginning! Like the Me in Megan and the No in Noah. When I was at school I had a friend called Joan-Ida (after her mother and an aunt) but she pronounced it EE-da. Which was an improvement, but I'm still not sold on it.

A Danish friend of mine has this name (pronounced EE-da). She doesn't have a middle name, though. I neither like it nor dislike it, probably because it's a word in my language (means 'going' as a noun and not a verb, as in 'my going there'; pronounced EE-da as well).Ida Marianna
