After having the quads, Noriya and Akari decided that six was enough children. They are now proud grandparents to Katie and Morgan, Thomas's kids, and Fiona, Ellen's daughter. They have only recently become used to their role, as Katie, their oldest grandchild, is only two years old.
Thomas is now 30 and he works at an IT company, which was where he met his wife Jenna (who was, and still is, a co-worker). They got married four years ago.
Ellen is a graphic designer, and she has been married to Matt for two years. They met in college and have been dating ever since, and recently Ellen gave birth to their daughter, Fiona.
The quads are now 20 and in college, and very proud aunts and uncle too. Nana is studying Psychology and is dating another student, Amira, who seems to love Akari's cooking. Akio has decided to study Eastern European languages, and he will soon spend a whole year studying in Russia, Czech Republic and Serbia. As for Mayu, who has always been the sports type, becoming a PE teacher was the most natural thing to do. Last but not least, Yumi is studying to become a pharmacist.
Currently the Fukumotos have only a dog, Ken, who is already 6 years old. Sae, their beloved cat, died peacefully at the old age of 13 human years, and she is missed to this day. Mai didn't last very long either, only two years after the last children were born. However, Thomas's family includes a dog, Max, and Nana and Amira have recently adopted a kitten, whom they named Jane. Ellen would love to get a pet, but Matt is allergic to both cats and dogs, so they are now considering a bird or a hamster.
