Sounds like amnesia to me. And really, why is there even a feminine derivitive of a masculine derivitive of a feminine name anyway? Why didn't they just stick with the original feminine? But I digress.
Hey, at least when the Anciet Greeks derived name elaborations it didn't become Artemiselle!

There aren't any on this site. But there is the Greek male name Artemas and the Latin equivalent Artemus, which are derived from the goddess name. It's probably through confusion with those that "Artemis" has been given to men.

... Jen was referring to Artemisios, which is in Artemisia's hyperlink. I've always simply considered Artemisia an elaborated form, though.
