I adore the name Caoimhe. We used it for my dog, because of it's lovely meaning- her full name is Caoimhe Tigerlily, but we just call her Lily. I love the sound, the meaning, and the look. It's a gorgeous name.Yes, there will be spelling and pronounciation issues, but people will get used to it. There's a Saoirse in Ella's class and she manages just fine. She also has a Caoimhe, a Niamh and an Aoife at
her school. This is in Australia. People can mess up just about any name so I don't think thats a good enough reason to avoid it. I grew up always having to spell and pronounce my name for people, and I survived just fine :)It's a great name. I say go for it.
