[Opinions] nickname question.

I have a friend named Dakota who doesn't really like his name. He's also not keen on Koty/Kody. Would Dak/Dack (rhymes with Jack) be too much of a stretch?

Dack? Makes me think of underpants and/or the removal thereof. So no. What's his middle name? Maybe he could use that.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to use Dak. I know a male Dakota who--because he thinks his name is girly sounding these days--always goes by Dace (it rhymes with ace).

Not really.however in Australia to 'dack' means to pull someones pants down.dacks also is a slang word for underpants.

Yes, really. Dack would be an unfortunate nickname here.I remember in school when it was all the rage for boys to try to dack each other.

Didn't mean to offend. I don't think you'd lie. I'm just astonished. I don't really know a whole lot about Australia. I do know that here 'to shank' means to stab someone, and a friend told me that where she's from it means to pull someone's pants down. I can see where Dack would have the same possibilities.
