[Opinions] Astrella
So I don't know if I made this up, I don't think so as I got results searching for it on google, but I just kind of put two favorites of mine, Estella and Astraea together and came up with Astrella which I really like.So what do you think?Oh I guess I'd pronounce it ahs-STRELL-lah.

Estrella is a real name. I don't think Astrella is.

Uhm I think that any name used on a person is a real name and all names are made up at some point. I basically just wanted to know what you think of it and not whether it's legit because I'm pretty sure it's not, even though some baby name sites list it as a variant of Estrella.Yeah, I don't like Estrella because the Ella part gets pronounced as AY-ah which I dislike :( but thanks for suggesting it! You know the thing is I'm trying to find a nice name (preferably with the meaning star) for a character...so it doesn't need to be legit or anything ;)

I kind of like Astrella. Estrella is pronounced Es-tre-yah. The double l (ll) in Spanish is pronounced like a y. When I was in Ecuador I met a girl about four with this name. I thought she said her name was Traya, but her friend corrected me. I "created" a name from Traya that is similar to yours. I changed the spelling of Trella to Treya to get the pronunciation I wanted and then added an A at the beginning. I say "created" because I am sure someone else thought of it first and my sister pointed out that Atreya is like the feminine form of Atreyu from The Neverending Story. I don't think I'll ever get to use it, though. My husband nixed it without consideration :(

I really like Astrella. It sounds really pretty. I think I mentioned it in a poll I did recently, but apart from that, I haven't seen/heard it anywhere. I think it's a great name.
