[Opinions] Wilma
This is the number one name in Sweden (2007, I guess). I just think it's kind of fun :P Do you think it could make a comeback? I think Wilma has about the same feel as Emma or Adele.Oh and what do you think of Ilma? It reminds me of Elsa and Ella so I think it's kind of cute. It also doesn't start with a W (I like Ws but I think Wilma looks heavy while Ilma looks more elegant). Apparently it means "air" in Finnish and "water" in Maltese which I like.

I hate Wilma. It's VERY boring (I live in Sweden) and everyone seems to name their daughters and dogs Wilma! Wilma was #9 in 2008.

Wilma just reminds me of the Flintstones. Too comic for my tastes. Ilma is a lot nicer. Apparently, Wilma has dropped down to the 9th spot in Sweden (2008):1. Maja
2. Emma
3. Julia
4. Ella
5. Elsa
6. Alice
7. Alva
8. Linnea
9. Wilma
10. Klara

#1? Awesome. How funny and charming. It's a cute little name and I've palyed with it once or twice. I think it'll come back in the states before too long.Ilma's really cool.

Too "Flintstones." Sorry, but I think it's dowdy and a bit ridiculous.

I love the Finnish roots of this one. I'd like to see it make a comeback sometime in the States; it would be a nice change.

I like Wilma, but the first thing I think of is Wilma Flintstone, so it has the same feel as Betty to me - sort of dated and quirky. Ilma is rather gorgeous, though.

I think Wilma is cute, but Willa probably stands a better chance of getting really popular. Ilma is cute too, but I'm not sure I'd know how to approach it if I were seeing it as a non-name nerd. Great meanings.
