[Opinions] Zacharie ?
Okay, I've always liked the name to a certain extent, but I can't decide on which variation I like the most. I'm not a fan of the Zachary variation. I just can't warm up to the spelling. But maybe Zacarie? Do you think Zacarie could work? Is it too trendy looking? My interest in the name has been very recently rekindled as I've been looking into a particular branch of my family, including my ancestor Zacharie Cloutier. If you haven't heard of him, perhaps you should Google search, his biography and list of descendants (including Angelina Jolie, Celine Dion, Beyonce, ect.) is rather interesting.I also rather like the name of Zacharie's wife. However, it's spelling varies from source to source. Either Xainte, Sainte or Satine. His children had rather plain names; Zacharie, Jean, Charles, Anne and Louise.

If you were just asking about spelling i would say touse the "y" variation, but since your ancestor is spelled this way I feel that it is a great spelling and personal meaning for your child.

I actually quite like this name and I think Zacharie looks cute. I'd smile at seeing this variation rather than roll my eyes because it's different but nice. Zacarie is still nice but it might be going to far with changing/ eliminating letters. What do you think of Zachariah? I love this name! You might not but it's an option i thought I'd suggest. =)

I don't like the spelling Zacharie. It looks feminine.

I think that Zacharie would be fine [I prefer Zachary though], however Zacarie does seem trendy.

Man, with an ancestor like that, I think it would be a shame to mess with the spelling! Go with Zacharie for sure. Zacarie does look very trendy and lifeless. Xainte is so awesome. Way cooler than Satine in my opinion.
