[Opinions] Natalie
What do you think of Natalie? Would you spell it Natalie or Nathalie? Do you pronounce Natalie and Nathalie differently? How many do you know? It seems to be really common right now (#13 in 2008) which really surprised me. I thought it was at number 90 or something.

It's an okay name, but I prefer Natalia and Natalya. I've encountered enough Natalies that it doesn't seem very interesting to me. Off of the top of my head, I can think of 3 I've actually met. I've heard the name brought up by people quite a bit though (ex. someone mentioning someone's daughter, wife, etc.) I've encountered it less than, say, Anna though. I guess my point is that it's a common name, but there are more overused names out there.I pronounce Natalie and Nathalie the same.

What do you think of Natalie?
-I think it's friendly and sweet. It has an approachable, girl-next-door sort of beauty. How many do you know?
-My stepsister was named Natalie; she was a sweetheart. I also work with a woman who named her newborn daughter Natalie.

I know several, but they arn't children...most young women in their 20s or early 30s. In my area, (French-speaking) it's spelled Nathalie. The pronounciation is just the same, though.

I prefer Natalie.
If you were opting for Nathalia, I would use the "h"

I like it and I would use the spelling Natalie. I would probably pronounce both versions of the name the same way. I have met a few Natalie's over the years, but don't currently know any.

I've never been keen on this name. It seems dated and overused, i much prefer the more exotic Natalia.

I have five friends named Natalie aged from early twenties to mid thirties. I don't know ay children named Natalie, though I believe that there is a woman on the boards who has a young daughter by this name.I don't dislike it, it's just so common amongst people my age. I prn. Natalie and Nathalie the same.
