I was at school with a girl called Zephne, like Daphne with a Ze instead of the Da, and that worked pretty well. It was a family name, perhaps a syncopated version of Zephyrine.

I don't think it sounds remotely feminine. Actually, I don't care for it on a boy, either. It's one of those names I can't wrap my head around.

It's fine for a boy, but I think it sounds too masculine for a girl. I prefer Zephyra and Zephyrine.

I prefer Zephyrine for a girl and Zephyr for a boy.
