[Opinions] Dinah and Rivka.
My brother and I have been discussing biblical genealogy recently. I've really started to fall in love with Dinah and Rivka / Rivkah for girls. WDYT?

I love Rivka, I'd use it. I used to dislike Dinah but it's been growing on me, as long as it's pronounced DEE-na rathe than DAY-na.

I thought Dinah was conventionally pronounced "DYE-nuh"? Why would it be pronounced "DAY-nuh".

Dinah: yes, yes, yes! Wonderful name.Rivka doesn't really do it for me. Riva or Reeva is quite pretty though I wouldn't use it, but Rivka looks like a suitable name for a child but not an adult. I'd rather name a girl Rebecca and use Rivka instead of Becky etc as a nn.

I don't really like Dinah; for some reason it sounds weary, worn, uninspired. Rivka, on the other hand, is outrageously fun and fresh. I like it much better than Rebecca.

Rivka is pretty. I kind of like Dinah, but it reminds me of the word "diner."

Dinah is great, and Rivka is fun (and so much nicer than Rebecca).

I love Dinah but I'm not so fond of Rivka. I think I'd spell it Rivkah.

I really like Dinah (although it does sound the same as 'diner' in my accent). I'm not keen on Rivka, but it does have some spirit.

I think Dinah is wonderful. It's very small, plain, shy pioneer girl in an apron and bonnet baking with flour all over her arms. Yes, she's in a kitchen. No, not sure if I get that from I've Been Working on the Railroad or not.Rivka doesn't really appeal to me. It looks strange.

I love DinahIt's just so homey and remids me of maple syrup and buttery-goodness. I don't care that someone's in the kitchen with Dinah either. I like Clementine too, regardless of the ditty.Rivka I'm not so crazy about. Everyone once in a while I'll come across a name that my brain wants to just rearrange, and Rivka is one of them. I want to say "Rikva" instead. It's an interesting name, very pretty with a neat sound to it. But I don't like it as much as Dinah!

Lol, I'm with you there...Dinah, Clementine, Susannah...all amazing names! I usually go for Rebecca / Rebekah, but lately Rivka just appeals.

Oh well, if I had to pick between Rebecca and Rivka - Rivka would win all the way! So much more spice!
