Kyle and Annie met while in college through mutual friends. They became friends at first, but while studying abroad in Italy during their junior semester, the two became lovers. The spark was there. After graduation, Annie got a job as a high school English teacher and that following August, Kyle began his first year as a medical student. Now, Kyle is in his 3rd year and Annie has since received her PhD in American Studies and Literature, and is now teaching at a university. They are happily married and living in North Carolina.
