Xavier, for Professor Charles Xavier, founder of the X-men, my favorite group of superheroes. :D Madeleine's maiden name is Wagner, in honor of Nightcrawler. I always had a soft-spot for him.
Madeleine and Gabriel met in high school through mutual friends. They went to different schools and talked only occasionally until halfway through college when they realized that they volunteered with the same children's organization and attended the same Catholic parish. They hit it off and were just recently married. Madeleine is in medical school, and Gabriel works as product designer for an educational toy company.
((The spelling I used for Madeleine is the French, should I change it to the English, or is it okay?))
