Alban is one of my favorite names and hope to use it someday. It is the name of an uncle through marriage, with good associations. It's one of those names where I can appreciate the sound, the meaning, and famous bearers. It also would be partially in honor of my hometown. I also have an ancestor named Aubin, not sure if it has the same etymology though.

I should also mention, I'm not too sure about using it in the first name place, I usually assign it as a middle name.
