Madeleine and Gabriel's newest daughter is named after Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It was a difficult to decide which book character to name the baby after, since the favorite pastime in the Xavier family is reading. When they bought their new home, Gabriel surprised Madeleine by putting a library in the master suite. It's become a family gathering point in the evenings. Eoin is still excelling in school, and Madeleine and Gabriel are looking into finding him some gifted education classes. He likes his new glasses quite a lot and is as much of a bookworm as his parents. Callie has started to read a little, but has much less patience with books than Eoin. She is vivacious and energetic, occasionally getting in trouble for singing during class. She likes kindergarten because she gets to do more art and make friends. Laleh has started preschool and is doing fairly well. She occasionally gets anxious when Gabriel drops her off, but she's beginning to adjust. Elizabeth is a calm baby for the most part and Gabriel is happy to have a new baby around...it got a little lonely alone during the school day. Madeleine is beginning to think about taking reduced hours to be home with the children more, but is a little worried about the pay cut that would accompany such a change.
Dory and Flounder are happy as ever in their fish tank. Gabriel is very responsible and feeds them every morning and when he gets home from school. Callie enjoys finding colorful rock and toys to put in the tank. Laleh is rather uninterested in the fish right now.
