I have known countless Cynthias, because it is a very common name for my generation. Well, I should say that growing up I knew many Cindys, because no one -- really, absolutely no one -- was called Cynthia.
It was only after many years that I knew anyone known as Cynthia.
I have known a Cynthy, a Cyd and a Cyn. Actually, the Cyn might have been spelled Cin. I'm not sure.
I doubt that Cynthia will be ready for a comeback soon.
