Elisabeth/ Elizabeth - Lizzie - I love it
Catherine/ Katherine - Kat or Kate
Alexandra - Lexie
Annabelle - wouldn't use one, but if I had to Anna
Margaret - Maggie and I prefer it to Margaret.
Ella - nothing, it's a name in it's own right.
Bella - nothing or Isabella
Lily - nothing
Emmy - Emma
Allie - Alexandra. Most Allies I know are Alison.
Cassie - Cassandra
Anna/ Annie - nothing.
Josie - nothing or Josephine
Lexi/ Lexie - Alexa or Alexandra.
Generally I am a fan of nicknames. I think they are generally inevitable. I think Emmy or Allie is maybe too informal to use on their own but most others work fine as a name on their own.
