Well, both Paulina and Emil are international names and those are all the rage here at the moment.I think Paulina is more used from Spanish (Mexican soaps are popular here and names like Marisol, Rikardo or Karlos pop up more and more).
As for Emil, it's a character in a popular Croatian children's book and also Emilia was quite popular 30 years ago, so it might be honoring in some cases. Not to mentioned that we have a large number of emigrants in Germany, Austria, Switzerland who might use it.
