What do you think of Roni for a girl? I think it's really pretty. I love its Hebrew meaning. I read it was quite common in Israel (top 10 if I remember correctly).
Do you pronounce it like Ronny or do you say RO-nee? Any idea how it's pronounced in Hebrew?
Do you think it should be used as a nickname only? Or could it stand alone? How do you like Ronia as a full name for it? Or maybe Ronya or Ronja? Apparently Ronia and Roniya are Hebrew names as well.
Otherwise...Veronica nn Roni? Anything else it could be short for?

I love this name for a girl but not a boy. If it were short for Veronica that would be lovely. I knew a woman named Ronni and she was so nice and beautiful; that's probably why I like it.
There's also a love song called "Ronni" by the Four Seasons and it's about a girl, if that helps you justify it :)

Reminds me of Rice-a-roni and I pronounced it RO-nee. NMS.

I've only known one person with that name, a man whose father was Israeli. I think it's a little too masculine for a girl because of that. He pronounces it like Ronny as far as I know.

I prn it ROH-nee (according to the comments section, roh-nee is the Hebrew prn), but I must say that I dislike the name however it's prn.
It could stand alone, I suppose, but I prefer it as a nn for Ronia. If it were a nn for Veronia I'd prn it RAH-nee.
I see it as more of a girl's name, possibly because Roni is also a nn for Veronica, possibly because it looks like a feminization of Ronnie.
