Sorry I didn't see this for so long- I have a friend named Thuraiya, which I believe is a form of the same name. She pronounces it "thur-RAY-ya" and usually goes by the nn Raiya.

At first I thought this name was invented and I was surprised it was actually real. It's a really cool arabic name. I can't tell you how it would be pronounced for I don't know much about the pronunciation of arabic names.
