I like it and pronounce it FRAY-ya. It was no. 27 in England and Wales last year, so I guess it's already fairly popular here, but I only know one grown-up (20-ish) Freya and one little Freya, so it still sounds quite fresh to me. I'd go with the English spelling in an English-speaking country.
