The Jason is really starting to grow on me. What do you think?

I don't like it. It's one of my ex's names so that's probably why I don't like it. I prefer Mason.

I like it. It's not something I'd use, but it's got a lot of history, a cool mythological namesake, and it's short and simple. Also, it's not so popular now, so a little Jason would be more interesting than, say, a little Jack or Jacob or Joshua.

I'm a big fan of Jason:-)my combos are Jason Emanuel and Jason Leander.

I dislike it immensely, it's such a dull and boring name. Also I think it's cutesy and won't age well.

I used to kind of dislike it. It only made me picture some rude punk teenager in the 80's. But several years ago I met a little boy named Jason who was very adorable, and ever since then I've come to like it. It still has a sort of bad boy edge, but also kind of suave and friendly.

I like it :) I love the sound of it. I do think it's kind of an 80s name, but still very usable today.

I find it dated right now. I prefer Jadon.

It is true, Jason did spike in popularity, but it's peak was three and a half decades ago in the mid 1970s, and the popularity seems to be dropping by the year. Popularity isn't really an issue with me though, if I like a name I like it. Jason appeals to me, I greatly enjoy the legends of characters who have borne this name, and also appreciate the meaning. I've often thought about it. I believe it's among my favorites.

There is nothing inherently wrong with it. It's a handsome name.But...it was so mega-popular during the seventies and eighties that it's now tired and worn-out. Off of the top of my head I can think of five Jasons I've known in my life, and if I really stopped to think about it I could probably remember more. It's just too common. My reaction now, to someone naming their newborn Jason, would be an eyeroll and "Don't they realize that that's a tired, becoming-passe-and-dated name? Surely they could have come up with something fresher than that!"I can see why it gained such widespread appeal, because it's a nice name, but it needs a rest.

It's a nice name, will fit any age and is short and to the point. I think it needs a break from over use though, for a little while.
