[Surname] The Surname Grellin
Does anybody know the origin of the surname Grellin? I've seen it once in Turkey, once in Spain, and once in Greece.

Grellin doesn't look like a name native to any of those countries, though there's always an outside chance. Grelin and Greslin are French surnames; and, according to Paul Reaney's Dictionary, there is an English surname, Grelling, which is a variant of Grilling. This last, according to same source, is a nickname from an Old English word meaning "fierce" or "cruel".
